Steve,

Mount lying on the side. You will need to get your self some open mounting spring clips (The sort of thing you use on tool boards for holding round tools such as greese guns, Hammers etc.. They look like a C and are fixed to the chassis with a self tapper though the center) You will need 2 of these to securely hold the pump in place. I have pop riveted a plastic cable tie plate below the pump to allow me to cable tie it securely in to position. It's a belts and braces to prevent the pump poping out of the clips which is pretty unlikely.

I'm sure I have a photo - I'll dig it out this evening.
