Ahhh! Bloody Electrics...

My SVA test is a week today and I am already suffering from sleep deprivation and stress levels are rising so high I can hear blood vessels popping. But enough of the symptoms and on to the cause...

I have a number of things that have gone unoticed until now. The main item being the headlamps. I'm using halogen lights so have fitted a 25A Fuse instead of the standard 20A. When I turn on the lamps the side lights and rear red ones come on, but no dipped headlamp. If I switch to full beam I also don't get anything - BUT If I toggle the main beam by pulling back on the switch gear I can hear the relay click and full beam comes on. Why oh Why doesn't it work.. Does it use a different relay of the same. Could the connections on the back of the stalk I'm using. I swapped the ones from the donor which were angular with rounded ones from a later model which has an additional 2 connectors... Any pointers.
