Checked fuse boxes first and power is being supplied to and from...
On to the light switch (the R/H 3 position stalk) and again all appeared to be in order with power being supplied and sent on...
The power for the lights comes in on a blue wire to the L/H stalk. With the stalk central the power is routed out on a red/green wire and when pushed forward a Blue/white one.. Indeed the pull to flash main beam is supplied from a constant feed (a red wire) which routes it out on another...
The bottom line of my investigation so far reveals that the switch gear isn't to blame but more than likely a dodgey connection on one of the relays from the switch gear. I just wish I found this problem before installing the relays in the bottom of the footwell
Another symptom discovered is the fog lamp not functioning, This is fed from a connection on the relay (prior to relay). which could indicate a break in the wire between the last switch gear and relay...
Moral of story, Trust no one especially a pilgrim supplied wiring loom {-}
