RE: diff to prop shaft thread size

Buy new ones from you friendly Ford main dealer dont use old or second hand . They patch bolts which means that they have paint on the thread to act as a torque retaining feature in other words to stop them coming loose. They should also be 8.8. I used transit ones same thread but slightly longer so that they protrude a couple of threads out of the diff flange. Normal Sierra ones don't quite make it with a Pilgrim Prop shaft cos the flange is thicker.
