but if I could keep up British MOT and road tax, I wouldn't have a problem with insurance. The fact is that is the car now lives in France (with me) but to keep it MOT'd and taxed costs over a thousand quid each year to take it back, plus driving two journeys of 700 miles each way for no good reason. There are plenty of French insurance companies happy to cover British registered cars here, it's just that I haven't found one that recognises a Dax yet.

Also, I can't not mention "Cobra" as it says that on the log book.

I have seen French the odd French registered Cobra replica out here, so someone must know how to do it.
