| Hello I have been looking around the site for a day or so now, and its great. The cobra is a car I have always liked the shape of and loved in general. I am only 17 but I can dream for a year or 2, my ultimate aim is to build a gt40 replica I love that car and will build one eventually, but I also want to get a good idea on the whole kit car building way of things. I am a qualified auto mechanic according the bit of paper in the drawer next to me, I just lack experience, but I like working on cars so the actually building wont put me off. I had intended to first build a 7 style car as my first kit, as they are simple, but I have gone of the idea as there are a lot of them and they always look home made and don’t like the shape that much. So no matter how nutty the idea is I have set my self on building a cobra replica as my first kit car, it would be built over 2 or 3 years but that’s good as it will mean I can take time building it and not spend all my money on it, from looking at the sites for the various kit cars I have decided that the most likely kit that I have set my self on building, is the kirkham replica although expensive I believe it will be worth the effort, and it will not loose me money if I sell it and its all metal so has a better "feel" to it. The other kit that I am thinking of is the GD kit that also seems to have a good feel to it and looks well designed and is a true replica. The dax does not really appeal to me atm and the pilgrim is out as I think they do not have faith in the kit so still half naked girls in the ads for it anybody wish to give me any information on anything i have said, or there views. sorry for all the rambleing |
