Forum Change

The Beta version of the PHP Forum is going to be released shortly, and I will be making a copy of the existing forum and upgrading it to ensure it works and there are no problems.

I would respectfully as that everyone access the test forum and posts anything they want to, however please be mindful that it will be deleted when we are happy the new forum works and you lot are comfortable with it.

The new forum is PHP based, and will therefore be quicker, and it will allow me to integrate a lot of the aspects of the site such as the reviews system, the content management, directory, Photo Album etc.

The full url will be posted up as soon as I get the software, and a new conference will be created so that you can let me know if there are any problems.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Forum Change

Looks very good Robert
Is it the same setup as the Totalkitcar forum?
And when do we switch over to the new one?
Keep up the good work

Paul

RE: Forum Change

The TKC forum is the same as this one, cgi based. Our new one is php based, so slightly faster and more feature rich and easier to hack.

The version is Beta at the moment, so when there is a release product, we wil move over then.
