Slight changes coming up

Guys

We have been hosted on our current server for about 12 months now, and we have significantly outgrown it.

Our bandwidth usage has gone up from around 4Gb per month last year to around 35Gb per month over the last 3 months. The current service provider is getting a bit fed up with me, and I have to pay for overusage charges, hence the reason the vids have been up and down.

To this end, I have purchased a new server with a different provider who has allocated a bandwidth limit of 400Gb per month as opposed to the 50Gb per month we currently have.

We host the CRC site on a number of domain, so I will be pointing one of the domains over to the new server and migrating data over etc. There will be no discernable change from the user perpective, but I thought I would let you guys know what was going on in the background.

The new server will allow us to host far more services, videos, document, etc etc etc and will therefore be of more benefit to the club and you lot.

The server is built, with a firewall installed and I will be migrating over in a slow process over the next 4 weeks.

Any questions, please let me know.

RE: Slight changes coming up

Only 1 Question what does it all mean but then again I think an explanation would be wasted on me .

It should mean nothing from a user perspective, other than the url for the forum will change slightly.

RE: Slight changes coming up

The domain changes have taken place, and one of the domains is now pointing to the new server.

The forum will be migrated over in the next couple of days, so please update your bookmarks.

The new domain is http://www.cobra-replica.com but there is nothing there yet.

RE: Slight changes coming up

I am just in the process of transferring the domains, which will take anything between 24 and 72 hours, so the site cobraclub.com will be intermittently down on Thursday, but the cobra-replica domain is up and running, and all traffic will go there.

You might need to log back in on Thursday, that is the only change.

Bookmarks will not change in the long run, however the url to get to the forum won't be cobraclub.com, it will be cobra-replica.com for a couple of days.
