Attaching Jpeg Images to a message.

Hi Rob,

Have tried to attach a few Jpeg images to a posting this evening.

I am following the correct procedure as per the Faq's but without success.

Please help.

Regards from Roger.

Looks all right, are your images over 256K?

Step 1. Click on 'Browse...' button to choose your attachment file.
(maximum size allowed = 256 KBytes)

Rob, The max file size is 256k but my digi camera typical file size is 350k ish, so how would I compress to fit under the 256 so that I can upload through your servers?

Best option in that case is to upload to the gallery and then copy the link and paste it onto a post.

Graham

Go to the gallery and log in, then click on the upload photo link and it will take you to a page where you click to browse to the photo. This will automatically generate a members gallery for you.

Upload the image and after it has uploaded, click on the image to view it. Then right click on the image and select properties.

Where is says Address (url) copy that text htpp://whatever and paste it into the body of the topic you are posting.

Then when you have completed this, it should look like this post.

One question, when you upload a file, do you wait until the window says

The file you chose was sucessfully uploaded to the server.
The URL of this file is

If you wish to upload additional files, please use the form below to do so. Otherwise, Close this window

or do you just close the window. You need to wait until the upload window says file uploaded.
