New membership

After a two year gap from owning my last Cobra, I rejoined last February using the online facility. Since then I have not received anything from the club. Is this usual? If it is then I don't think its a very good welcome. Other clubs retuen within a week with a bundle of goodies and magazine for your new toy.

p.s I'm rebuilding a Cobra replica of which I have no idea what it is. Any ideas? US Ford running gear, live axle, rover V8 and 4 speed box (which doesn't seem to be the first fitted as the hole has moved for the gear stick) Seems to be a Corvette steering column. Any help would be appriciated.

RE: New membership

Hi and welcome to the club.
Unfortunately I know that Marion is very busy at the moment and has many new memberships to cope with.
Please don't forget it's all done on a volunteer basis.
I'm sure your membership will be with you shortly.

Anyway your car looks smart, what does it say on the log book (V5)?
Is it first registered in the UK or the USA or maybe South Africa?

Any chassis numbers that someone might recognise?

Some under hood pictures may help folks to recognise something.

RE: New membership

Membership info will be sent out with the next mag which is at the printers, this saves on duplicate posting.

RE: New membership

Kev,
Many thanks for your quick response and welcome.! I still think no word in 2 months is a bit long but still...

The only chassis number logged on the V5 is GELGRJ registered in the UK

the log book has it only as a COBRA REPLICA. DOR 21 12 1984

engine bay is nothing unusual with rover V8 and holley carb/edlebrock manifold.

was when I bought it metalic maroon

I'm spending a fortune as usual doing it up, waiting for the interior and halibrands to turn up now... then start on making the engine pretty and putting the new gearbox in.

Regards

Steve
