Hand Brake Calipers

Just in the process of fitting reconditioned handbrake calipers (John Gordon) to my AK and it appears that two 'side levers' where the handbrake cable attaches is slightly lower than the Diff. Therefore the cable will rub on the top. In addition, the two return springs that attach to chassis come into contact with the main caliper.

Is the lever adjustable - upwards?

Any pics would be useful.

Regards
Carl

Carl

They lever up to the level you require them to sit.
You will also notice that both sides use the same lever.one side is upside down. Dont worry, Jag made only one side.

Ian.

Carl

I just forced them by hand. They pivot around the handbrake adjustment, I seem to remember.

Re: Hand Brake Calipers

Apologies, I may be confusing the issue.

The handbraake operating levers each side, appear to be to low once in position ,resulting in the handbrake cable coming into contact with the top of the diff.

I have had a further look but can see no way of increasing the angle of the lever upwards.

Any further advice would be appreciated.

Carl
