Mounting it offset as in Mike's picture allows enough room to fit the washer bottle next to it on the nearside

Mike, Last year you placed a picture of a washer bottle on an AK mounted offset, As these phots have since beenremoved, could you possibly post it again please. Thanks for your bother.

Mike, Yes, of course...heater. I had washer bottle in my head after reading that leaving space for 'said item' was one of the benefit of putting the heater to one side.

Sinility rapidly taking over!

Many Thanks

Mines mounted dead centre & I have not had problems with the heater blower fouling the bellhousing or the AK supplied washer bottle getting in the way.

Regards,
Martyn

I think it depends on the type of bell housing used with the Chevy. Mine was a repower. I had a nightmare with mine and had the boby on and off four or five times to try and get it to clear the bell housing. I had to buy my mates several beers after each visit. I think that is why AK now say not to remove the plastic lip and to mount to one side. I didn't have a problem with the washer bottle thank god.

Surely leaving the angled bit on the front of the heater only makes it protrode even further into the engine bay?
