I take it that a humungous bonnet bulge/scoop will be needed to clear that intake and carb?

Yes indeed will be installing Pro-Stock hood scoop..as on Wenick Cobra... cost $380,000 USD...but hey we still kept the total cost under $400,000 USD for complete drive line..ha ha.. Cheers! DR,Dee

That equates to around £375 for a bonnet scoop and a propshaft - really good value.

All the best with it
Mike

Dyno test completed on this bad-boy AK Cobra engine....

Hello were just back from dyno @ Jim Oddy Racing...world champion
IHRA & NHRA & AHRA A/A and Pro-Mod engine builders shop and the results are in..
BHP is 761.9 @ 6200 RPM & ft/lbs torque a massive 705.2@ 5300 RPM
after 6 safe RPM pulls these were the final #'s....1st pull netted 649 BHP
and after a few timing curve changes and carb recalibrations we bumped this bad boy to these figures.
As Jim said we could have likely acheived 850+ BHP going to a more radical intake and magneto dizzy and bigger tricked out BG carb...= BIG DOSH....
No problem there but we are on a budget (7500 GBP) total and Ash the owner of this engine is very pleased with the results...have fun mate!

Cheers! De.Dee
PS Will post dyno video and printout..
