I thought about this myself and arrived at the same conclusion as you Mike. You could always move and re-weld the seatbelt mounting part of the rollbar bracket. I decided it was too much hassle for not a lot of benefit.
I was more concerned about how to mount the outside shaft when it comes through in the rear wheel arch rather than the boot space and whether if I made the mounting for it there it would foul the inside of the tyre!

I was going to hack a section of the end of the leg and extend the existing bracket to support it. Too much hassle for not enough gain IMO.

Perhaps I'm going mad but can someone send a photo of how the front nudgebar fits onto the overrider??

You have to drill the overriders and bolt them to the nudge bar, a good guide as to where they should be is to line the top of the nudge bar with the top of the overrider.

It's a pity Brasscraft don't manufacture a jig and pre-drill ! Never mind it gives me something to do and gets me back in the garage
