Washer Tubing

Hopefully somebody can help. I've got my washer bottle (& pump) from AK, my tubing from Melin, and my washer nozzles from S&J. The tubing fits the pump snugly, but is slack on the nozzles. Anybody know where to get the small spring type clips from. Have tried local suppliers with no luck at the moment.

Cheers

Try a very small cable tie, should work ok.

Cheers,

Or - take a strand of copper from a mains (non flexible) cable, and twist it around the tubing, finishing off by twisting the ends snugly with a pair of pliers.

Stevie,

I think I have some of those exact clips, little ss springs that fit neatly round the tube I saved from my donor car, I'll have a look tonight and let you know.

(I've just written "clips" on the back of my hand in permanent marker so I won't forget)
Cheers
Graham.

Connect from the pump to a Y junction with the larger tube, buy some smaller tube that fits your washer jets, soak the smaller tube in boiling water and they will soften enough to fit on the Y junction.

Stevie,

if you still need them I found these in the garage:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chedzoy...erstepdown.JPG

( I couldn't find the springy things)
Its a stepdown from about 6.5mm to 4mm and a t-piece in 6.5mm with a stepdown on the other end. This is all out of a sierra.

While searching for this I found what was left of the old sierra loom, including a connector that contained the same pins I was after the other day for my ignition that means I don't have to dodge something I was very happy about that!

PM your address if you want these.

cheers

Graham
