Smile AK power steering

Hi Guys. This question may have been asked before but I missed it. What pump and power steering rack can be fitted to the AK with a Rover V8 engine? I know Ken supplies one but I have now retired and the pension isn't great. Any info would be appreciated. Wheelnutter

The PS gear they supply on the later kits is a BMW E34 column and rack to suit. Give Ken a bell is your best bet.

Hi Hugh.
That's a cracker ...What a line !!
We'll make you an honorary Ballymena man with that one.

I've a few of the SD1 PAS pumps and brackets here if you need one. (no charge to honorary members)

Jim

And the mountings and position are different from the manual rack also.

You can however use any PS pump within reason.......

Cheers,

Tony

I believe that the early versions were as you say a Vectra LHD fitted upside down but the two in my Garage circa 2006 definitely have the BMW logo cast into them.

Cheers,

Tony
