AK Gen 2 handbrake shoes wtf!

    Hi
    Can somebody tell me
a/how to stretch the shoes and springs - I have a complete shoe from donor so can copy - just cant get them together as the springs are so strong.
B/ How to put the shoes into disc and what wires go where? I have four cables from AK which I assume are for each disc. I have no instructions from AK and cannot see anything in the XJ40 service manual. I am a novice as most of you probably know having seen my numerous posts! Photos of the stags involved would be a godsend but understand that is probably not possible. thanks in advance

Sounds like the cables are for the brake calipers and not the hand brake if there are 4 of them.

That's right - I spoke to Wendi @ AK and she told me I need special XJ40 adapted handbrake cables (£150+VAT!) to connect. Still at a loss to how the complete handbrake show contraption fits inside the Hub disc. Does it have to line up with anything do you happen to know? Thanks
