SVA Steering wheel?

Hi All,
Looking for an advice on an SVA compliant steering wheel for my AK with a Rover SD1 rack. As the Rover wheel is too big, what is the normal wheel that is used to get through the test. The wheel that I get will be staying on the car as I don't want to buy one for the test only and then get rid of it. Looking at other threads they just say Mountney etc but not the model etc. What would you recommend that would suit the AK and the examiner?
Hugh

Re: SVA Steering wheel?

Chris,
Many thanks for the offer. Still a long way to go before she's ready for the test. What make and model is your steering wheel? Good luck for next Tuesday.

Hugh.

It's a Mountney with SD1 boss, The last guy that borrowed it had to stick a pad in the centre to pass, Not sure why! Unless the rules have changed! But it worked for him My turn to test it next week

Re: SVA Steering wheel?

Just got mine through the SVA. On the advice of AK, got a 13" Mountney leather from Merlin Motorsport, ordered with SD1 boss and SVA pad. You do need the SVA pad to pass the test - but if you want a cut price pad (I think they were £13 each), I can offer you a 'used once' one. Total cost was about £80 including the boss, SVA pad and carriage. You get the choice of black or chrome metal spokes.
