Does anyone know the following times for the fastest road going replica cobra in the UK, the king of the cobras if you wish.

0 to 60
0 to 100
0 – 100 – 0
Top Speed
and standing ¼ mile
(all in mph)

are these time acheaved with a nitro system?

Your help would be most appreciated.

Andy

I would be interested in the figures also. Might give me something to aim for at Santa Pod.

There was a gd at Brighton with a 1/4 mile of 12.3
I have also been in a gd at Donnington on a demo with a 0-60 of 3.8ish secs
It was matching an 600bhp ultima for pace
The car was a GD euro with a tuned(not nitro) chevy (around 540bhp)and a carbon shell
It weighed in at 800kg (mmm v.light)

It will be GD against GD then. I think that might be BAM, I will have a chat to Andy about it and find out more.

The one at Bright is the Black Rat Or Rat(so its say up the side anyway!)

Black rat racing is a Dax supertube, not a GD. The GD at Donnington was the Racer, with the Carbon Body and a wicked engine.

After having a very deep conversation regarding this topic this afternoon, we think it would be a good idea to put this to bed. We should have a head to head at Santa Pod for anyone who would care to try..........

With a slalom at the end of the straight, then we will see who comes out on top.

Oooooooh the GD loves them bends!!!!

Suggest you take a look at http://www.ukstreetracers.com/StreetMachine.htm

GRM has had an 11.496 for the 1/4 mile in his DAX & I'm sure he's beaten that since....

Thats Black Rat, he came along to my Trackday. I now have something to aim for, better get this 17 inch soft compounds on instead of the 16 inch standards.

That is some beast, 1250 hp + 1500 Nm Torque is something else. Thankfully it’s not British. I believe the Americans have achieved even more for track use.
I just hope I never come up against it, as that could be slightly embarrassing.
Thank-you for the web address.

Unless it has water wings, we will never come up against that one.

Probably for the better otherwise it would force me to spend even more money on my GD.

I would still like the times for the fastest replica Cobra in the UK if anyone knows them.

If you think you are a contender then enter your times and we can compare them.

Andy

At Le Mans last year, my AK with 400 small block (451 bhp & 516 lbft torque) managed an accurate 173 mph before getting cut up by a Renault 5 !!! The engine then blew up two weeks later - I'm having it rebuilt at the moment and then I'm confident it will get close to 180 mph. We will see?
Best wishes

Simon,

If you don't mind me asking, which gearbox are you using?

Andy

Just read your message about L.S.D, in which you say which box you are using.

Regards,
Andy.

Andy,
Just picked up your two messages. Hope the gearbox info. answered your question.
Any views regarding my L.S.D query? I'm still none the wiser and there hasn't been much response to my message. I'd appreciate your comments.
Cheers
Simon.
