Hi All

I am going to be doing a couple of updates to the CRC pages in the next couple of weeks, is there anything you guys would like to see or anything that I need to change?

Thanks

I am part way through setting up a site for Bob Burchall
This has all of Bob's Cob

http://www.btinternet.com/~cobra_man

From the number of new builders questions a link to this could be of use.

Otherwise great site, thanks.

Hi Rob.
Are you making a section that people can visit to see how to build a car?
If so do you want any pics and tips etc. for dax builds?
I could run off a few pics to show people how to set things up and where to fit some of the parts etc.
I think this could be good for the manufacturers as producing a full colour build manual is way too expensive and this way they will also promote the club.;-)

Hi Robert,
Sometimes the Java script that runs the drop down menus on the left of the main page doesn't completely load. It's usually OK on the first load of the page, but tends to fail after that.

Is it just my machine maybe?

I'm running XP Pro and IE 6.0.2600.0000

Simon.

Did all the assets load properly, otherwise the JS will not load.

Could you fix the links to the SVA related pages. Some of these seem to point to a local hard drive.

Thanks,

Rob,

1) What about including an advert for the latest magazine that none members could order online for a fee of course - clearly the individual fee should be more than 1/5th the cost of membership.

2) What about incorporating an online census form that members only could fill in giving details of their car (specification, self build or bought etc)?

We can do mag issues, but member only surveys is a ball ache as the script has the check the membership number etc.

Thanks for the input though

Hi Rob

We seem to lack photos of members cars, i know we have some in the gallery but
is this due to us not sending enough photos,?.

Graham;-)

If I were to do it for one car, I would have to do it for all manufacturers and that is far too much work. The build manuals should be distibuted by the manufacturers, not the clubs. I have had this arguement with one major manufacturer already. If the manufacturer is serious about their business, then they will provide a build manual or video.

[Did all the assets load properly?]

That's a little too in depth for me. I created a website for myself a few years ago with basic HTML just using Notepad. I'm lost with this Java stuff.

The bar at the bottom doesn't go all the way across - I always get the message "(1 item remaining) Opening page http://etc"

I've tried to look at the video on GD, all I get is a message saying,
The requested URL/Videos/GD-427.mpg was not found on this server.
Additionally, A 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an error document to handle this request.

Can you explain whats happening.

Cheers

Miket

PS we the South West Region are exibiting at the Exeter Kit Car Show and we are taking a plasma screen and a video player, have you any videos Cobra related.

I had to take the vid offline as someone was eating up our bandwidth.

When do you want the vids for as I have a number.

The Exeter Kit Car Show is on the 16-17th November, anytime before then, It would be great if we could borrow them, obviously we will pay the postage.

If it is possible, let me know and I will send you the address to post them.

Try and make it to the show. Last year was the best on record, it was packed to capacity on both days, with paying customers and kit car drivers.

Cheers

Greetings. A simple request from a simple mind! Could you compress the first page or move the "Enter" button up a bit so there is no need to scroll down each day to log on. Only if itīs easy for you to do!

The gd vid is back up and I will make the other vids accessible to you in about 14 days, but you will need to remind me in about a week.

Could we have an area where members could post name and contact details of suppliers by region. Questions about 'where can I get this from' and 'is there a rolling road near..' are quite frequent. There must be quite a few smaller companies who give excellent service at good prices.

Just a thought

Andy

...or you could just hit the spacebar and the page will be scrolled for you. Sometimes quicker to do this than use the sidebar.

Rob,

I agree with Andy427 above. A forum dedicated to where to get bits and get things done would be very useful even though half the fun is sourcing parts.

The forum should be accessed only by paid up members
