I would like to psot a huge thank you to the guys who made myself and molly so welcome... we had a fantastic time, shame about the limited track viewing but great fun non the less.

Thanks to Kev and Dave for talking us around the circuit :thumb: :D and a big sorry to the workmen on the Musanne straight who took our overtaking personally:angry:

Hope everyone made it home without any misshaps, the Honorary Cob support waggon made it back in quality style(pic attached after Dave applied the initiation stripes).left camp at 1130 sunday had lunch in Arnarge and arrived in Boulogne at 1700, passing 2 TVRs 1 Porche and countless BMW's on the way:p (obviouly they were sleeping;) )

Hope to see you all soon.

Hi John and Molly

Hey mate, you shouldn't be thanking us, we should be all thanking you for the all the bits that came out of Dr Johns Tardis (the faithfull Nova)

Great to meet you both, don't forget to visit us in the South West when you have the beast on the road. :thumb: :thumb: :-}

A really big THANKS to John and Molly for all their help and resources, that Nova certainly has a big boot!! :D
Handmade beef burgers by John were great and Molly's sense of humour held up well in the midst of all the swearing, letching, burping and farting in camp.:o (once MikeT had gone to bed it was quite civil)
Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon.

Cheers,
Neil.

I have to agree with the others here. Everyone on our bit of the campsite made use of some of the kit in the back of your Nova. I can see all the local van drivers trading up to 100 Novas in the near future so that they can increase their carry loads. Good to meet you guys. Good luck with your build and hope to see Molly, youself and the Cob at Rockingham later in the year.

Big thanks also to the south west crew for helping out with my running repairs - particularly Martin Lancaster who proved very handy when armd with a cardboard box and a tube of silocone. Good to meet a few more of you guys and put faces to forum profiles.

Regards
Brian & Emma

Andy, if you don't have an exhaust gasket to hand, you have to improvise.

Worked pretty well too, didn't blow afterwards, probably still ok now eh Brian?

Strangely though, someone in our crowd was carrying 2 spare head gaskets for a Ford Cleveland. Can't think who that would be............

Cheers,
Neil.:D

I would also like to thank john and Molly for the Tardis they call a Nova. :D

I thought a quick bodge job would get me home when the main alternator eyelet broke.

But no, John appears with a suitcase full of eyelets etc. and a crimping tool :thumb: TOP BANNANA. :D

Hi,

I was staying on the same camp site as theNova and had a big smile when I saw the stripes.
I left the Cobra at home and went in an air-conditioned coach and was quite thankful due to the heat. Not sure I want my car to have 1/4 inch of dust all over it. The french car washes must have made a packet after the race as all the cars I saw going home we clean.

Regards

Marc

Cobras and car wash don't mix, I bribed the lady looking after the loos and washed mine with her hosepipe at the side of the nasty overpriced kebab stand :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
