Hi all

I get a lot of emails from prospective Cobra Owners all saying the same thing. Which cobra should I buy?

So I thought I would post a very short quiz on the forum to gauge the owners experience of Cobra Replicas.

What I would like you to do is answer the following questions, in the 1-5 style with 5 being the highest or of greatest importance etc etc etc.

What Cobra do you own
Why did you buy that particular make

The following are the 1-5 questions

Authenticity of the Kit
Affordability of the Kit
Drivability of the Kit
Ease of build
Usefulness of build notes
Ease of driving position
During Build sales service
After sales service

Thanks

Rob

What Cobra do you own: Unique Autocraft Python , a kit of great integrity, no longer manufactured unfortunately - it was a superb kit that bolted together exactly like the build manual said it would without exception.

Why did you buy that make: It was my first build and I wanted a kit that was well put together backed up by a team I know would help a novice like me.

Authenticity of the kit: 3
Affordability of the kit: 2
Driveability of the kit: 4
Ease of build : 5
Usefulness of the build notes: 5 (superb)
Ease of driving position: 5 (the car is about 2" longer in the cockpit that most replicas and I am 6'2" tall)
During build sales service: 5 (they could not have been more helpful)
After sales service: 5 (even though they are no longer in manufacture one of the partners just built me a new shell following a crash - brilliant)
Resale value 2

'coz I didnt think I could afford any other type of cobra, but
have now spent as much as a Dax/Hawke build.
Cobra = Money-swallowing black hole !!!

Affordability of the Kit 4
Drivability of the Kit 3
Ease of build 3
Usefulness of build notes 4

For me, the DAX is good, but the down side is the relative lack of authenticity, I would prefer it to be closer to the real thing.
