OK i'm currently up to the grand total of 360 miles, but i wondered what the record was.

Lots of people use these as special 'high days and holidays' cars, and a few like Pat, who i've just spoken to uses his every day. (Not as a cab I presume :D )

I'm guessing most Cobras will be like most bikes and have relatively low mileage.

Got mine last Sept and thought 3K would be enough on insurance policey, how wrong can you be, now upped to 5K for the year and hopefully speedo will stay connected......

Hi,

My Pilgrim Sumo Mk1 has done over 67,000+ since 1989, been off the road for a few years now (needs to be re-built). I use to used every day for work. Shows that Cobra's will last!!!.

The question is does the odometer correspond to the actual mileage?

when mine eventually gets on the road that is one aspect of cobra ownership I am concerned about..........................................the unreliability of cobra speedo's:confused: it seems that without warning they can suddenly over read (sometimes well over 70mph) or simply stop working altogether

I think this is going to difficult especially keeping track of mileage:D

Currently up to 4396 miles. Will have been on the road 2 years on the 1st of August.
Declared mileage for the insurance at the end of March this year was 3514.
Hoping to put a few more miles on over the next few weeks.

I'd drive it more if I didn't keep it 14 miles away!

I reckon to do at least 6000 in a year.
But remember I do have to two to use....
Funny the odo stopped working on the dax all by itself.
And i finally have a calibrated speedo on the AS289 after the post office lost it and the Speedy cables sat on it for an extra week and the had it back again to get it right.
Daily commute from Ipswich to Diss does clock up the miles and scares a few sleepy motorists to boot.

Mine has done 2500 in the past 12 years, i bought it in January and have already added another 2300 miles to it. I bought the car to use it and not sit in a garage any money lost if it ever gets sold would only add up to a good holiday and its lasted a lot longer and puts a big smile to my face every time i use it:) .

Regards

Marc
