My potential Ram will end up with a chevy engine, marina pedals, escort rack etc and jag suspension.
From what I can figure, you get a Q unless you have "2 major components" from a Jag donor.
So does a Ram have these 2 major components?
I do not know what counts but I think suspension is one, axles another, transmission and engine.
I know of changing the engine on the V5 to a chevy to make it count but have also hard this sometimes get rejected. It would be a shame to rely on the engine counting and then end up with a Q!
Any advice would be appreciated!

Oh and are Q plates being phased out?
Cheers

Suspension = 2 Points, Axles is another 2 Points. 4 Points is enough for an Age Related Plate ;) :thumb:

That would be perfect but I'd also heard from the GD stall at Donington that the points system is no longer used. I have had little luck in confirming this as DVLA stuff all seems old but undated.
I hope I'm wrong!

Just claim it all came from the Jag! It would be quite a lot of hassle for them to prove that it didn't and what would be the point when you have supplied the information that they need. Remember you are dealing with bureaucrats here, not detectives.
