hi

I've got orignal SU's on my RAM at the moment and want to replace them with the webber/edlebrock kit... can fellow RAMers tell me which manifold I should buy given the height restriction...? Here's the 2 options at RPI - the 2 port one is lower apparently....

thnx

Sorry I can't confirm anything but I would opt for the dual plane manifold as I read 3 books and for MY needs it was the obvious choice with my 383.
I went even higher with an Edelbrock air gap which Realm said should be fine and if not to fit a bigger scoop!
It would be worth noting that on most carbs you can get air filters that drop very low for max clearance albiet at a little freeflow expense.

If you have a filter housing clearance problem, it is possible to cut down the carb side of the 'Cobra' design cast ally ribbed black filter housings; mine has been done this way to give clearance (Edelbrock Performer anifold with a 600 Holley, and then the cobra oval cast air box.
First find a friend with a milling machine!

Have a look at http://www.professional-products.com/manifolds.html
I have the 52025 (air gap) on my 383 SBC.
