HELLO.!!!

I'm back and have returned almost undamaged (suspected broken rib or two following an off piste incident) from the best week of powder snow and blue skies ever.

Les Trois Vallees get my vote, totally awsome, now we just need to get rid of all the French and they'd be perfect. (How smug were they last week after 'Le Rugby' :( )

Anyhow, having missed all of the fun and games, possibley inadvertently started by me :D here's something to test you. No cheating!!!

1) How long did the Hundred Years War last?
2) Which country makes Panama hats?
3) From which animal do we get catgut?
4) In which month do Russians celebrate the October Revolution?
5) What is a camel's hair brush made of?
6) The Canary Islands in the Pacific are named after what animal?
7) What was King George VI's first name?
8) What color is a purple finch?
9) Where are Chinese gooseberries from?
10) What is the color of the black box in a commercial airplane?

5) What is a camel's hair brush made of?

According to http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/10658

The term camel hair is very misleading. Camel hair brushes actually consist of various inexpensive hair types like Asian pony, bear, sheep or lesser grade squirrel hair. There is not a single hair from a real camel in a camel hair brush

1) How long did the Hundred Years War last?

Ran from 1337 until 1453... I make that 116 years...

6) The Canary Islands in the Pacific are named after what animal?

The Atlantic Canary Islands take their name from the Latin word for dog, "canis", which is where we get our word canine. The Pacific Canary Islands take their name from the famous, plump New Zealand prostitute named Carrie Longbottom who always wore a yellow dress, and who once serviced the entire U.S. 6th Fleet in a single weekend.

No cheating!!!

Clearly you either have a different viewpoint on the concept of cheating, or you're just very very smart and well informed.
