I have an old Sumo in the garage in need of SVA'ing.
I wondered if anyone has put a car in for the test with aeroscreens instead of a windscreen?
I believe the wheel boxes and wiper arms would have to be changed and a better de-mister, I also believe that the Pilgrim screen wont pass either.
I'm thinking it may be easier just to fit aeroscreens and do away with the windscreen. Any thoughts?
Thanks Stu.

Yep,

Just leave the whole screen off.

No need then for washers , wipers de-mister etc.:D

No legal requirment to have a windcreen fitted;)

The SVA guys in Southampton told me that they would need to see no evidence that the car was ever supposed to have a windscreen. My car failed because the screen didn't have the right markings on it and I had wiper positioning problems. I offered to to take the screen off, which was met with a resounding "NO!".

Be careful!

Best regards

Ian
