I had a friend come and visit me today to help with the cobra. He's a carb-whizz and after working his magic the car is now drivable.

Up until today the car wouldnt start and would definatley not idle. The carbs were brand new and not set up for the engine. The timing was also out by a long way, so he's sorted that too.

Here's a (very) crap quality vid. You'll need Quicktime to view it I think.

Made me a bit more motivated to get the car MOTed now!

A bit more info is needed, what carbs and what engine are you running?

Cheers,

Pete

Hehe, yes, it's all good.. Needs a final tune-up, but should be good enough for the time-being.

It's a Rover V8 with twin SU's

Alex,

I am a little confused. You say that the carbs were brand new SU's ?

Why did you go that route rather than a Weber or Holley ?

I bought the car 99% finished, they were already on it. :)

Made the wife go out into the garage and start it today. She came back saying 'Oh god it's a monster!'
