BEAUTIFUL little TV programme on BBC4 last night all about Rolls Royce and the sales of hundreds of cars to the maharajas of India at the beginning if the 20th century. A real little gem if you are at any way into cars. It can be watched for the next 7 days here

I saw that too last night and thought it was very good. Makes a change to find something worth watching.

Some of those cars were lovely but other just hideous. So over the top some of them.

BBC 4 throws up some real gems now and again, worth the licence fee just for that channel alone!

Think it's a series of documentaries on motoring, the one called "The Dagenham Dream" about Ford's rise and fall in Europe is exceptional, still being repeated regularly on BBC4

Just sat and watched this. Very good. Those Rolls Royce get under your skin even more so than the Cob.

She has been gone 18 month now and still miss her. Not Indian, but still a PII Continental. One of the sporting cars that Rolls was dead against.
