Guys, I need some advice please.

I'm using a Jag xj6 handbrake, at some point during the build i have lost the switch on the back that activates the warning light on the dash when engaged.

I've asked 2 spares comany's in the uk for a replacement sending the attached pic and have been told it is a "kick down switch - 10 please and we'll send one to you".

1) i've only ever heard of a kick down switch in auto gearboxs to drop a gear
2) 10 for such a small peice of plastic to complete a circuit seams a hell of alot.

I want to get the right thing first time and not get ripped off.

I thought it was a fairly standard micro switch.

If you have an RS account you should be able to find something suitable.
RS (http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=retrieveTfg&Ne=4294922322&Ntt=microswitch&Ntk=I18NAll&Nr=AND(avl%3auk%2csearchDiscon_uk%3aN)&Ntx=mode%2bmatchallpartial&Ns=stockPolicy_uk|1||new_uk|1&N=4294957311+4294874666+4294921629&binCount=303&Nty=1#breadCrumb)

Mine was a lever type but the lever had a little kink in the end.
