Hi Guys,

Next Sunday (19th July) is our next Monthly Meet. The tentative plan is as follows.

Meet at the Manor House Inn (http://www.themanorhousein.com/) between 12noon and 12:30pm ready for a prompt departure at 12:30pm. If you are definitely on your way but are going to be late then ring me on (pm me if you don't have my mobile number) before 12:15pm.

The plan then would be to drive to Keilder Reservoir for Lunch (arriving at around 1:45pm), via Blanchland, Corbidge, Chollerford, Wark & Bellingham arriving at the Tower Knowe Visitor Centre (http://www.visitkielder.com/site/visiting-kielder-water-and-forest-park/tower-knowe-visitor-centre). You then have a choice, you can either eat in the Cafe / Restaurant or Take a Picnic. I shall be taking a picnic (for one!) and a folding chair and sitting by the reservoir.

The return Journey (Leaving at around 3pm) will be via Bellingham, Otterburn and Stamfordham returning to the Angel Inn in Corbridge (around 4:15pm). This is handy for the petrol station in Corbridge and leaves us close to the A69 / A68 for returning home in our various directions.

On the subject of Petrol Stations there are none on route as I remember (I think the one at Knowesgate on the A696 is now closed and the one in Bellingham is closed on Sundays - this is Northumberland after all!) other than the one at Corbridge. Try and arrive with a full tank as it will be as near as damn it a 100 mile round trip. If not then we can always arrange to visit the petrol station in Corbridge on the way out.

I have prepared a route map which you can access here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=102899341960149879298.00046e7db460b2ca10eab&t=h&z=10) and take whatever information from it as you see fit.

If your Cobra is not on the road yet and you fancy comming along then let me know as I for one will have a spare seat and there shoud be a couple of others free also.

This is of course weather dependant and should it be inclement then I suggest we meet up at the Manor House in any case, have another nice Sunday Lunch and complain about the weather.

Any comments or suggestions then you know where to find me.

Cheers,

Simon.

Don't know about that, but a Navigator might be useful ;). I'll add you to the list of the needy.

A gentle reminder about tomorrow chaps. Looks like it should be mostly dry (although not sunny) - chance of a slight shower around the Otterburn area.

So still sticking with Plan A at the moment.

Nice one Tommy  and here they are all together.

Good day it was - 5 cobs chasing the sun round all day - didn't even get wet (apart from that rather large puddle / lake )

Bloody finger has turned a nasty shade of black now and the stitches are 'kin murder... I blame it on the Stamfordham Bends!

Cheers,

Simon.
