I was wondering if it was possible to make a Series I XJ6 have a limited slip differential using other jaguar parts. It already has the gear ratio I want, 3.54, but I am unsure of what my options are or if I should just get an Auburn unit and go from there. Anything would be appreciated.

Sorry If we missed your first post :( Welcome ;)
The easier option would be to get a complete diff from a 3.6 or 4.0ltr XJS. They come with the powerloc as standard and are all (normally) 3.56:1 ratio.

awesome, do all of these have the internally mounted brakes. what years would be best for the swap?

Six Cylinder cars were produced after 1981, so you are looking for a six cylinder car from between 1981 and 1991. However I've just read that not many six cylinder cars were exported to the US, so I might have falsely got your hopes up. Sorry :(

so i'd be better off looking for an xj6 with powr-lok option or an xj12 and rebuild? its still better to know that way if i ever see one i won't pass up on the deal.
