View Full Version : South Wales Meeting Sunday 27th???

22-02-10, 09:43 PM
Hi Gang,
Anyone fancy a meeting this Sunday?
I was thinking of a lunchtime meet, no real venue in mind but as a starter The Plough and Harrow, Monknash has been suggested by Ed (Bitsilly) it just happens to be my local too. :D
My Cobra is off the road until the 1st of April so I'll be walking if we go there.
I guess we can see who's up for a meet and then decide.

Hi Kev

got the email too, thanks for that. I'll be at the North Wales meet that day (assuming the weather forecast is wrong and it doesn't snow heavily!).

good luck with the first meet

Then there were three. :o

Nice one John, I look forward to meeting you. :D

Ed, I'm not sure if Sandra will come down or not, if so you could run a shuttle service from the Barn. :D

Probably too early to get any kind of accurate forecast yet.

Hi all, it looks like "The Plough and Harrow" at Monknash it then, at least for this initial meeting.
I suggest meeting at 12.00, they do good food for those that want it. :D
As well as good real ales and cider.

I'll ring you on that morning.

Currently heavy rain and bad visibility forecast, so I may take the tin top. The forecast is never wrong but I'll keep fingers crossed!

As I explained to Kev, I mucked up. It's my boys birthday party tomorrow 12 till 2 so I can't make it, except by about 14.45 given a bit of tidy up time in the village hall.

I was all fired up to go today with directions and all, but then I twigged it was actually on the Sunday!
Please let's keep trying though hey?

PS. It would be a good idea for all intending to go to re-confirm ASAP I guess.
Kev, would it be an idea to PM your nmobile no. to our gangs mambers!

PPS. Kev, the goldfish we won at last years Pencoed show (3) are still alive!!

Did anyone make it?

Yes Ed
Myself, Kev & Sandra, also Johnboy.
the beer was nice, it would have been easy to linger all afternoon, but had to just have two halves, because of drive home.
John got his car stuck in the "overflow carpark" but may willing hands pushed him out. I had my brown trousers on anyway:D
next meet to be yet determined by members, Kev will let us now
