My slow build contines...
I was going to fit the fuel pump this weekend but realised that I didn't have a bracket to fix it to the chassis. Has anyone got pictures of a facet pump fitted to a Sumo?

And does anybody have a template for the bracket or can you buy them?

Cheers,
Malc

hi Malc,

probably a bit different, but there is a picture of a carter bracket here:

How To Build a Pilgrim Sumo: Fueling System (http://how-to-build-a-pilgrim-sumo.wikidot.com/fueling-system)

I fitted my pump to the left of the tank up away from the boot area to avoid it taking boot space and getting damaged by luggage.

Didn't the pump come with any fixings, the carter came with some rubber feet that I used to mount it to the bracket, I added some mini-exhaust bobbins to help reduce vibration. I guess you could mount it directly to the vertical rear facing part of the chassis under the tank, but it would be in the way. Best bet is probably to make something up.

cheers

facet one I bought required a DIY bracket.
I went to B&Q and bought a nice metal 'book end' in enamelled white. Drilled and screwed, job done. ;)

Hiya, yes I got the bobbins but no bracket. I guess I'll have to bend some metal!
