Hi there
Can anyone recommend a paint remover (other than Wet or dry and lots of elbow grease !!!) that will not damage the Gel coat on my Sumo.
The white stripes painted on my car by a previous owner are beginning to craze where several layers of paint have been applied over each other presumably with inadequate preparation,
I am proposing to repaint the whole car next winter but in the meantime i'd like to remove these stripes and prepare the area for new paint.
Cheers Henry.

I used Nitromors to completely strip a Corvette which had micro-blistering some years ago on the advice of a specialist in Norfolk. Messy and you get through loads of gloves but it certainly worked and didn't affect the gel coat on that. Looked nice after it was re-sprayed in a BMW meatllic red!

HI Dek Many thanks,I'll give it a go using Nitromors,
I did think about that but was a bit worried, had visions of it dissolving large holes in the car !! I might try and find a hidden bit to do a test first, but if you had no trouble it should be o.k.

Cheers Henry, P.S hows Ant these Days !!!!!:mrgreen: (sorry couldnt resist it, youve probably heard it before !!)
