Hey up,

I have had these fuel caps for a while and after a conversation with laurie about the different type around I wondered if anybody had seen one fitted to any other type of car?

I am going to put one on my cobra (one day) they are in need of a serious polish, but as you can see I did one by hand for five mins to see how it came up and I think they'll look great. The rest I may put on flea bay.

So if you have seen this type before or know any history etc, please give me a shout.

Cheers

Jim,

I've seen them similar to that on old Buses & Military vehicles...You'd have to be careful with that thumbscrew on the paintwork on the Cobra though!

The old bus thing might be apt after I've finished the car, we'll wait and see!

Do you think it will look out of place then on a cobra?

Possibly....Put them all on Ebay & buy the correct style cap with the proceeds!

Just a thought!

Yeah the more I look at them the more I feel the right thing to do is fit a new one after selling these on ebay.

If you look at a newer Aston especially with the roller catch, they are poles apart...Anyway, how would you get the thumbscrew through IVA?

My car is already registered so don't require IVA
