Does anyone have an old V8 block I can buy. Doesn't have to be in working condition because not going to be used as an engine.

Thanks

Mark

Have a word with your local pikeys. The bast@rds stole a few rv8 blocks from me earlier this year. Let me know the casting number you get if they do pitch up with one

eBay sometimes holds an old range rover lump aswell.

You could PM Rob (Cobra351w) as I know he is changing the block on his lump. Don't know what plans he has for the old one tho'... :-D

some insperation for you matey. i did one with an old RV8 block i had. i used riv-nuts in the holes for the head, to attatch the con rods. and the feet are just door stoppers from home base.

hardest part i had was finding a pice of glass to fit and cheap enough for a spare time project. got mine on evil bay for 99p but had to travel 80miles to pick it up. LOL

That is totally cool. You could also use it to store up to 8 bottles of wine/beer :D

That looks fab.

Like the idea of a wine store as well.

Me and family went to the classic show @ NEC in November last. Was a company there selling these sort of tables for around 1500.... Fricking daft. They said that they were offering a better product as they had used all the original fixings, along with brand new engine blocks, so that in the future if you so wanted you could build your coffee table into a running engine.... As if!!! Lol have to say who in there right mind would do that??

Just my opinion but surly anyone who wants a table like this is capable of building one themselves? For considerably less than 1500??
