Does anyone out there know anything about BRA Cobra replicas? Are they still available/ which models they produced/ quality of kit/ how faithful a copy?

Looking through a copy of Snake Torque I was impressed by the write up on the 289 rep.

Yes My father built a 289 some years back and if you wish he has a write up on his findings if you would like. I do not know for sure if this model is still being produced but the Hawk 289 is certainly one to look at I feel.

Hi
I have a BRA 289 which we built between 1985 & 1989. I don't think the kit is currently available; the project has been sold on a couple of times following the retirement of the originators (John Berry and Peter Ibotson). A very good kit in it's day the BRA has been overtaken by the HAWK (Gerry Hawkridge worked for BRA for a while and developed the BRA 427 before setting up his own business). If you would like to know more, e mail me.
Regards.
