Hi All

Anyone got any tips to avoid my bonnett rubbing
I have tried fitting some adhesive backed strip that I bought at Stoneleigh but it seems to slide off, maybe the adhesive breaks down when the engine is hot

Any advise welcome

Happy Blastin

What is your bonnet rubbing against? or is the bonnet just moving laterally?

Hi Rob

I think a light has just gone on for me with your comments about lateral movement, I assume that i need to adjust up my bonnet catches for a tighter fit as the outer edge of the bonnet is clearly moving slightly whilst being driven and rubbing against the body adjacent

To pad the bonnet up from the body, and to give it something to bond to when shut, glue some rubber strip around the edge, the stuff used for door seals, cut in half is good. This will also mould to the shape of the bonnet when exposed to the heat from the engine.
