Have been following this guy since he at stoneleigh last year, looks like he has a daytona coupe kit now, using BMW 3 series as a donar.

Some more pictures would be a great help. No mention of the IVA on the website though as far as I can see, which would put a lot of people off I would have thought.

Hi, I am the Managing Director of Faroux Sports Cars.

To answer the question above: Yes it is designed to meet IVA.
This was one of the reasons for me to choose the BMW as a donor car.
You really want to have an age related registration on such a car and no Q plate.

More pictures will come very soon.

I really must stop drooling over the Daytona given the other projects I have on the go at the moment!

Is this car going to be put through the IVA when it is done?

I reckon it's a photochop - unless rubber bands for tyres have become the in thing.. wait, what am I saying .. they have

Great colour though. Think that's the colour for the Cobra decided on, then ;)

What no blue/white! ;), the green one is nice, and has the added bonus that people wont be able to see your embarrassment when you crash it into a hedge! LOL

But if it was winter, you would need a brown one.

@Highlander: no blue and white for us this time.
My customer for the Daytona has chosen this colour.
Hope I can make some finished pictures soon.

Well it's not that stunning green colour, but nice all the same. I'm pretty sure that we all would like to see a picture once it is finished.:D

well i dont normally like modern interpretations, but have to say i think thats looks terrific,

(personally i dont like the green - far to modern, blingy and Basildon-looking for my taste).

Personally I don't like fake cars made up to look like originals but the Daytona is somehow different. If I built one it would be as close to the original as I could manage, No interior trim, No air con, White sidepipes and a Ford up front and off course, blue and white paint.
Love to build one now, I got that building itch again but I'd have to sell the Dax to finance it and I'm not ready to do that just yet.

Great looking car though, Never understood why the UK Cobra kit manufacturers haven't developed a Daytona body to fit their existing chassis.

Lot of investment for a very small demand.

Cant agree more Wilf, when Daytonas were available in full UK IVA/SVA spec and could be turnkey built by an approved established build agent no orders came.

Guess there is more interest now than there has ever been and this new kit/company can only be a good thing to raise awareness of the car. Would be good to see it at a UK show soon so I can compare differences and build procedures to the F5.

Brown or not, the kit does look good though. Would be fun to get different photoshop colours done and see what really looks good as an alternative!

Just started my GD last year as well!

Just to be ultra critical......

I'd like to see the rear arches filled with a bit more rubber.

My thoughts exactly and not a fan of the style of wheels either:( I hope you don't take any comments personally Marben? other than this one thing, it looks bloody good:)

Marben

I agree with you, but the customer wanted it this way.
If I had the choice I also would choose different wheels that came further outwards.

It's the same as on a Jaguar E-type.
Beautiful car, but wheels not filling the arches enough.

Marben,

Would be interesting to know the differences between the BAE Daytona kit offered, and this one?
Comparing finished paint jobs and the brown one, they look very...diffeerent?
