... and with just the words -

Hi everyone,

The end of the year is just around the corner, but still it seems it has much to offer. October’s meet introduced us to a great pub and a grand turn out of open topped cobras. The White Hart Inn, at Roydon proved to be a very popular place in general. Their website proclaims ‘booking essential’ and, my word, the place was heaving. A number of our happy band had to perch on the chairs via one buttock and make do with a packet of pork scratchings. The pub’s menu offered a variety of lunchtime treats (apart from the scratchings) with an ample choice of local beers. Thanks to Mark Bright for his recommendation. We all managed to hijack pole position in the car park so that we could stage a group photo. Sorry to Andy for missing out on his Corvette.
In all, we counted 6 cobras and a Corvette, with Andy Edmunds along for us to chastise him over his continuing long term build.
As usual, discussion was varied; we very rarely get technical and boring you know.
One of our topics of conversation was our proposed East Anglian CRC Christmas evening meal. All assembled agreed that the White Hart Inn was a very comfortable and accommodating venue and, following an assessment of their Christmas offerings, it was decided to make a booking for the evening of Friday 12th December at 7:30 pm. We’ve already circulated the East Anglian membership and had a good response. If you are still contemplating, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can add you to our booking.

…..and so, to this month’s meet on Sunday 16th November @ 12:00.
As recommended by Guy Beston (and previously posted in last month’s newsletter). We are off to The White Horse Inn, Low St, Badingham, Suffolk IP13 8JR The White Horse at Badingham | About Us (http://www.whitehorsebadingham.co.uk/) and 01728 638280. Guy has said he will book a table for 8 in his name.
Roydon is on the A1120 northeast of Framlingham and Ipswich.
We’ll see you there.

Here’s the remainder of 2014’s ‘3rd Sunday’ calendar with interesting pubs to visit in our usual ‘On Tour’ format.
December 2014 – Christmas evening meal - Friday 12th December, White Hart, Roydon
Forward date – July 18th / 19th 2015 - summer event at the Bridge Inn, Lenwade, Norfolk

We’re now on the lookout for pub recommendations and event info for 2015 – if you have a recommendation or favourite venue, please let us know.
