View Full Version : Brightwheels Viper V8... any offers?

I'm looking to sell my Brightwheels (Cobretti) Viper V8, but don't really know what she's worth!

I've had her for the last 5 years, bought as a non runner after 6 years in a friends garage, he'd owned her for 19 years.
Donor car was registered in 1975, kit parts were purchased in 1987.

She has a V8 and gear box from a Rover P6, she has Holley 390's on an Offenhauser inlet, relica hallibrands with new spinners, new tyres, tax and MOT until spring 2016.
I've replaced the old wiring loom with one supplied by Bob Busbridge (Cobretti), replaced the head gaskets and had the heads skimmed, and replaced the old radiator with a recon triple core, plus various other items to get her running and legal again. The body work is red with a few small scratches, and there's the obligatory oil drip.

Any thought's or suggestions on what I can ask as a sale price, or is anyone interested in taking over the care and attention needed?

Hi, i would defiantly be interested, I've lurked on this site for ages whilst saving for a car and i'm now in the position to think about actually buying one, a registered "doer upper" is exactly the sort of thing I want, as for price, obviously that would depend on condition and work needed, could you either post or send me some pictures, maybe give me a ring on 079926357thanks

What price are you looking for.

She's an ongoing project, MOT'd and taxed, we always try to go for a short spin when the sun is out.

As with any 40 year old car there are lots of little jobs that are needed, the interior trim is in need of some TLC, and the usual winter servicing is due, oil, coolant, brake fluid etc, but she can be driven away.

I'm looking for offers around £13k
