Just in case anyone is confused it is XJ40 bits not XJ6 as that would mean it's the older chassis "Tojero" or how ever you spell it.

Looks xj40 based going by the pictures.

Yes, sorry to confuse, blame Jaguar. Diff and Jag bits from XJ40 1988 3.6.

The "older chassis" ???? As described, its the current De Dion chassis.

So tempted, but the wife would go mad!!
Is that body fixed already? Have the brake/fuel lines been run, has an engine been fitted?
Hi there,
Body on, brakes and fuel lines not in yet and no engine. I want a Corvette and wife insists this goes first.

Hi Alan, do you have the donor V5?
Which would be required to go age related on registration.
Or do you have enough new receipts to go down the new registration route?
Hi Kev,
Yes, I have the V5 for the old Jag (E219 XWE) which is on SORN. I also have all my receipts!
Alan
Should have said, I'm looking for close to £4,250 for all the bits. That's half what they cost and my labour to get this far is free! It's a bargain.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best place to pitch the unfinished kit. Ebay, Pistonheads, any others?

He he, yes I know I do but others have different ideas. I also have an Alfa 156 to strip and refurbish with my son in the coming months. I'm hoping he keeps that going and in good nick for a while yet, then we may consider a Hawk Stratos.
Andi.
Pleased to report it's been sold to Kev Davies, good to know it's going to a good home.
All the best,
Alan

Had an opportunity to have some business dealings with Gerry Hawkridge - very nice person to deal with. A gentleman, who whilst not the cheapest available provides a super value for money job. Hardest part of the deal was finding his location !!
His Stratos kits are fantastic - but you need to get your engine choice sorted out early as some are becoming scarce - especially the more popular engines ( read more powerful) - Cars can be very tail happy due short wheel base !
Another car he was developing and have not seen anything lately - he has an idea for making a kiddies Cobra ! full 427 for the under 10's - electric powered based around a mobility scooter - so has pneumatic tyres - working lights and could do up to 25mph !

If it happens, it will be with the 2.5 V6 from the Alfa 156 my son already has.
