What are people's thoughts on this? It seems to have an interesting history.

It's been advised before and it's not as if it was owned by the Queen. Long way to go to view.

Is it a 1980 model our just on an age related plate? It does have K&N filters which must be good as he mentions them twice! The other think to think of I'd how easy it will be to get through an mot if it's been abroad a while and also in storage?

Personally I would stay clear . Much hassle , no MOT and its a V12

Just joined the forum after discovering that the Cobra I built 26 years ago being discussed here, for those interested the engine was a brand new XJS V12 designed for unleaded fuel with dual ignition/fuel injection complete with a four speed manual gearbox from an early production XJS (try finding another one of those!). The interior has been changed from the Dax luxury pack seats and carpet I fitted to it for rather cheap plastic seats and nasty carpet, together with the seat belts. I notice the front bumper is now somewhat out of alignment and the rear one has been changed as well with the boot lock being turned through 90 degrees. The build was a true no expense spared build, if it was a moving part I replaced it regardless of condition. I sold it roughly 18-19 years ago to a guy around Swindon way, not heard of it since then, good to see it's still around but slightly upsetting to see it's condition now especially under the bonnet where you used to be able to eat your dinner of it and see your reflection in the fuel rails, alternator etc.

A few photo's of it during my ownership;
