Hi all

Back in the day you used to be able to get stainless steel pistons for 4 pot Jag calipers
The theory was that they would not go rusty and stick inside the housing
Can you still get them or will i have to commission some to be turned up ?
Thanks

Hi Jon,

If the seals are in good nick it shouldn't really matter no?

cheers

The seal might be ok but if there is corrosion on the pistons, then they will not retract much on the seals and it means the brake shoe is always pressurized.
Yes, those pistons are available.
Try SNG BARRAT.
Send them a pic of what you have + the model of jag where they came from.

Or try Ed at Ward Engineering. He has just rebuilt all my calipers with stainless pistons.
