A while ago some Cobra signs were produced and quite a few club members went for them. Here's the link (http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56697&p=545146#post545146).

The guy who produces them is expanding his stock and has offered up this new design:

He's suggesting producing it as a 500mm dia sign, but personally I think that's a bit big and a 300mm would be better.
They are made from 2mm steel and are delivered as bare metal signs which allows you to then display them as you wish:
- prep, primed and sprayed in a colour of your choice
- Lacquered to seal them as a shiny sign
- left untreated to encourage 'patina', or rust.

Cost is around the £25 mark (each) for the bigger sign, but I think with a bulk purchase order I could get the cost down.

P&P is going to be the killer though! Last time we managed to get them collected from Stoneleigh. Not sure how we would resolve that problem this time.

I am also talking to him about a similar sign as above, but possibly with a 'Shelby' rather than the 'Cobra' text.

Thoughts?

Is he doing the shelby snake still?

If asked I think he'll do anything - as long as it can be laser-cut! :)

If done at 300mm diameter I would be interested.

I think they should be 427mm diameter for more authenticity. I'l get my coat

So that will be 289mm for the gentlemen among us.

Thinking it through - If we could agree a bulk purchase and I forward monies and postal addresses to Unit Signs and ask him to distribute direct to you. It saves a second lot of P&P.
Meanwhile, thanks Parm (real name?). Anyone else?

Hi Robin, if they are still available I'd prefer one of the original designs - Regards Parm (that is my real name!)

Parm: If others also want this sign and I can get enough interest then I'll consider another bulk order. x10 should do it. Here's the original link (http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56697&p=545146#post545146).

Yes it is. Hadn't seen that! So there you go. You could probably make an offer of £20 and secure the sign for £26 inc. P&P.
Meanwhile with a bulk order of say x10 I may be able to get the cost down below that.

Up to you lot really...

It's been a while, but I have a small number of 300mm diameter circular Cobra snake signs for sale @ £15 ea. They are mild steel (similar to the batch sorted by Star Kicker last year).
I intend being at Stoneleigh on Sunday if anyone is interested. To post will bump up the cost a bit (probably nearer £20+ via Hermes) so would rather just bring them to Stoneleigh for cash.

Let me know if you are interested. ;)

Hi Robin,

Second attempt failed too, I keep getting the following message 'cobrap has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space'.

I'm just after the details of where and when, for Sunday!!

Cheers
Steve

Steve the message means he needs to clear some stuff from his in box, so your not doing anything wrong as it's something he needs to sort out. As for where to meet we normally have a Marquee which is the focal point for meeting up.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the info, but Robin said in an earlier message (#25) that other people we're getting through fine...perhaps the system is just picking on me:confused: I'll try and catch up with him at the marquee on Sunday.

Cheers

No, system isn't picking on you. Others were still able to message me but it wasn't 'til I got back yesterday that I saw email msg saying box was full. Now cleared out, thanks. I'll PM you a mobile no.

FINAL LIST
- SWP800 x1
- Parm x1 (Post)
- K Davies x1
- Philbrad73 x1
- Keith x1 (via PM)
- LDW (Lee) x1.
- TINKA x1.

All to be collected at Stoneleigh on Sunday, except Parm's.

It might be best if I see everyone just before, or after the AGM (@ 2pm I think). That way I know I'll be there (at the club's marquee) and it'll maybe entice one or two more individuals along to hear the discussions.
Just shout my name or see Kevin Davies as he knows my face.

Any other issues then just PM me.
