I think that's the Viper, in which case "challenging" would be a good description!!!

Are they sub standard then Jim or is it case of access to parts ?

I built one of these kits with a friend and as said they are very challenging as bits just don't fit and things like the hinges are made of monkey metal and normally need replacing for stronger parts. The biggest problem with the one I helped build was the lack of quality of the body, wrong shape completely in places and parts just don't fit. My mate bought the kit originally to fit a Jag V12 but it just wouldn't fit even after mods to the chassis. Having said all this after we eventually managed to complete it it did drive very well once all the suspension had been setup.

My friend completed and got his Classic Replicas cobra on the road earlier this year - not straight forward at all but end result is bloomin awesome. Runs a 3.5lt Rover engine.

So it is possible to do just a Martin says, monkey metal for parts etc (friend used and modified some DAX hinges for his)

I have got the kit, now need to spend some time going through the various boxes of donor parts to see what is there and what is missing!
