Nice looking car. Over 20 years old as pre SVA so it will need a good going over. Needs finishing but looks complete.

Agreed, but you have to admit it has been well done and whilst not everyone’s choice now it does bring another member into the Cobra fold.

I think the vendor may be a tad optimistic with the price, the work involved in putting in a “proper” engine is considerable and expensive.

Wonder what needs finishing, it says correctly registered and v5 present, but also states not finished. No number plates, although they could have been removed to make the pictures look nicer but in the shot of the nose there doesn't seem to be any bracketry anywhere where a number plate was fitted. There seem to be 3 empty holes at the bottom of the dashboard so maybe some electrical stuff not completed? No fog or reverse light, seats don't have holes for headrests. Towel rail roll bar so more tricky than normal hoops for adding headrests if required if the car has to visit the nice people at VOSA. Passenger seat looks higher than drivers seat so maybe drivers seat is fixed and passenger seat is on rails? Can you add headrests to the roll hoops only if the seats are fixed? Also looks to have normal 3 point seat belts, can't see any buckles hopefully they are just hidden between the seats and the tunnel otherwise that's a bit of a ballache to sort. Only 3 screws on the steering wheel so presumably hastily added for photos?

Some wiggle room on the price I think :)

Would you trust that tow hook in the front?

It states pre-SVA and incomplete so pre2009 and it does not look to have been on the road , no ignition switch ,fan switch or light switch ( 3 holes) The chassis will be MK3 looking at the stalks Triumph steering ,so steering mods could be required ( bump steer) and back brace to be added to bring it up to latest suspension but the DAX chassis number will reveal this. The engine needs finishing off and well spotted on the steering wheel. If the car has a valid registration it would have to be sorn. The owner has stated ask questions . The paint work looks nice but in real life things look different. The engine type would put off people as most are looking for V8 .

I think its a working project if you look under the skin . You would need to go over suspension , brakes as its a 20 year old vehicle and seals go after time when a car sits around not used.

That car is pre SVA which came in in 1998, IVA came later in in in 2009.

Doesn't state if it's aluminium or Glass fibre or whatever?
I would guess it's composite of some sort?
Chevy I suspect too.

Indeed. Great fan of AC Cars, but sadly that does not look to me like a £90k car, grp or whatever. Nice fuel cap fliptop, but the rest looks poorly designed to me.

You can have a coke can from DB for the same money. :)

This one has been advertised last year. As you say Kev its composite. Auto express review . Built in South Africa .

The only “genuine” thing about it is the right to use the AC name on the chassis plate and COB on the chassis number. At the end of the day it’s still a kit. I would rather have an alloy DB.

Put an LS3 in a Crendon and it would be just as authentic.

At least it would look better.
