IVA Question - Side Repeaters

IVA OPINIONS PLEASE!

I need to position my side repeaters.

Here is the IVA Regs Drawing

My understanding of that drawing is that the side repeater does not get checked from the front of the vehicle. As long as it is visible from an angle of 5 degrees wider than the side of the car up to 60 degrees its a pass. Correct??

So here is a sketch of the side of my car from above with some angles and dimensions as I see it interpreting the regs.

The 148mm dimension is from the side of the body to the outside of the arch at the same height off the ground as the proposed side repeater position.
So as I see it to ensure the side repeater is visible at a 5 degree angle from behind the car/rear wheel arch, I need to position the centre of the side repeater at 1700mm forwards of the dimensioned point on the edge of the arch, correct?

Do we think this will be a pass?

Can you get me a couple of dimension from your car please?

How far does the rear arch stick out from the body just behind the door at the same height as your repeater?

And then what is the dimension from that point on the outer edge of the rear arch to the back edge of the repeater?

Basically to compare against the 1700mm and 148mm dimensions on my triangle....

Pull a string along the green line from your photo
Measure angle to the side of your car
5 degree is all that's needed unless someone on here can say otherwise.

I think my unobtrusive position meets the criteria .....fingers crossed.

I understand the 5 degrees, that is how I have worked out the 1700 dimension in the triangle I have drawn in that sketch which is basically the same as the green line you have drawn.

But if the rear arch is not in play (look at the IVA drawing as it does not extend down the rear half of the car) then I can position differently.

It was just a visual inspection

To the centrepoint of the lens, its
9cm from the left hand edge of the vent
5cm above the top of the vent.
