View Full Version : Mounting Rear Diff

Can any of you remember if the Rear wishbone shafts lined up exactly with the Chassis holes with the diff securely bolted up. Mine line up horizonatlly (cos I used the shims to make it so) but are too low. The only way I can see to adjust them is to put a shim/spacer between the top of the diff and the underside of the diff chassis mounting on the rear side ONLY, thereby tilting the diff to bring the front of the wishbone shafts up??

I'm sure I shouldn't do this but I can't see any other way?

Any help appreciated.

The best way that i have found to fit the rear axle to the chassis is to assemble the wishbones onto the diff and slide the long pivot pins into the two holes then use a jack to lift the diff up to its top mount, it should go at this with only a little wriggling as the Dax chassis jig has a Jag diff welded into it.
Good luck
